FORCED MOVEMENT were founded at the end of the last millennium by Thomas Schernikau and Frank Sander. After Christian Schottstädt joined the band as a singer in 2007, the trio was initially complete. In 2009 and 2010, FM released two albums, "LAST" and "SALT“, to critical acclaim, went on tour, appeared on various radio shows, did several remix and production jobs (like the music for Bugatti's world record clip) and won prestigous music contests.

In 2011, 2/3 of FORCED MOVEMENT were famously “forced” to form the DM tribute project “FORCED TO MODE”. After 12 successful F2M years, over 420 shows in 15 countries, over 3 million YouTube clicks and 7 album-length CD productions, the time has come for Christian and Thomas to return to their creative origins.

FORCED MOVEMENT, now a duo in public , are set to release their 3rd album called "LOST" on December 1st, 2023, once again continuing the FM tradition of their two previous albums of not wanting to get pigeon-holed, musically - their music is complex and diverse, mature, unexpected and sophisticated at the same time. The 10 songs on “LOST” sum-up expressively the band’s almost 25-year history but still manage to break new ground. Since the oldest song on the album dates back to 1999, while the newest tracks were created recently, the long player covers almost the entire legacy of FM's existence.

“LOST” is a homogeneous and sonically exciting journey through time covering the history of a band that, even after a quarter of a century, has yet to be discovered by many. “LOST” is the perfect starting point for listeners aiming to dive into the universe of FM, and sees the light of day on December 1st, 2023 via all common digital platforms and as an elaborately designed CD digisleeve.
